What Are You Saying, Lord?
A devotional thought from Lizette Beard for “The Trinity”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5: “Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”
God is deserving of our undivided devotion, and when we are rightly focused on Him, it impacts our other relationships as well. This devotional is going to be Pause and Reflect all the way through.
• Open your Bible to Exodus 20 to the Ten Commandments. The first four commands focus on God’s desire for us to be loyal to Him, and the last six commands focus on how God desires that we relate to others.
• As you read through verses 1-17, ask God to help you understand what these verses are teaching.
• Ask God to reveal to you specific areas of your life that need to be examined. Ask yourself what God is commanding in these verses and in what specific ways you need to give Him full devotion in these areas.
I encourage you to write out your responses, thoughts, and questions.
