Interactive Teaching Resource for Students
Beginning with the spring edition, The Gospel Project: Students is pleased to announce that we will be providing additional interactive teaching resources for free on The Gospel Project website under the “students” tab at http://www.gospelproject.com/adults/additionalresources/. The interactive student resource will be supplemental to the material and will in no way detract from or compromise the content in any way. It merely comes alongside the Leader Guide as a teaching aid. Its main purpose is to provide group activities, teaching suggestions, and additional age-appropriate questions to be utilized at the discretion of the teacher. It is one more way where we would like to help equip teachers and churches in their mission of making disciples.
This resource will include:
-Intro Activities: for the teacher who likes to get the students thinking about the material beforehand with a quick activity, the intro activities will provide a great tool in introducing the material.
-Transition: for the teacher who would like a little more help linking the activity to the thought of the lesson, this portion will help him/her do so as they prepare to engage the students with the material for that day.
-Pressed for Time: for the teacher who feels as if he/she needs to move at a slower pace but is unable to spend two days on the same lesson, this part of the resource will give suggestions on how the teacher pressed for time can condense the material to fit into his/her allotted schedule. Of course, if this route is taken, it is always good to encourage your students to review those missed points in their personal study guides at home, especially since each point is unique and contributes to the whole of the lesson.
-Additional Questions: for the teacher who would like some additional questions to what is already available in the print edition, this section will provide those at an age-appropriate level. Questions range from comprehending the material to life application.
Again, it is our goal that this resource can be an additional tool in the hands of the teacher to equip him or her better in making much of the Gospel of Christ in the lives of students. While it is certainly not necessary to use in preparing or teaching a lesson, it is available for those teachers who would find it helpful in their task of making disciples.
