Transcript:
The gospel changes everything we know and experience as Christians.
When we look at the Bible through the lens of the gospel, we don’t see a book of stories—we see one story.
When we look at the church through the lens of the gospel, we no longer see a place that exists for our own benefit.
And when we look beyond the walls of the church, we no longer see “us and them”. We see a mission.
And everyone has a part to play.
Gospel mission is what happens when people changed by the gospel story invite others, through their words and works, to see that the gospel is better than moralism’s empty promise.
When the gospel saturates your personal faith experience, when the gospel saturates your church, the natural next step is for it to overflow into our communities, our cities, across our countries, and around the world.
This is the ministry of every Christian, commissioned by the ascending Christ, to put hands and feet to the gospel wherever and to whomever God leads us.
This is God’s gospel project, and everyone has a part to play.
Herholdt La Grange says
I always maintained this profound truth to be true, being a pastor (reverend) in an evangelical church in South Africa, but seeing so little of this in reality.
