Connecting The Gospel Project to the Home
Most leaders want to give parents the tools necessary to empower them to disciple their own kids. Guess what? Parents are looking for those tools too. Here are four ways to send The Gospel Project home with families.
The Adult/Kids Connections provides a way to connect the adult, student, and kids material into a unified family devotional time that includes Biblical content for all ages, along with a family activity recommendation. This content is available free for each quarter of material and available online here.
The Gospel Project for Kids App
The Gospel Project for Kids App provides daily conversation pieces, activities, and games for kids. It also includes the Bible story video and key passage songs for The Gospel Project for Kids preschool and kids curriculum. The app is available for download on iTunes store. An Android app is coming soon!
Family Journal Page
The Family Journal Page is available on the enhanced CD located in any of the Preschool or Kids Leader Kits. This is a one-page printable with a suggested family activity and devotional time based on what the kids learned at church. It also has the Bible story references, Christ Connection, and Big Picture Question and Answer.
The Big Picture Cards for Families
The Big Picture Cards for Families features the weekly Bible story picture, Bible story references, Christ Connection, and Big Picture Question and Answer. With one card for each Bible story, a card can be distributed to families each week or as one pack at the beginning of each quarter. The cards give parents the information needed to further discuss what their kids are learning or use them to play a variety of memory games.
Use any one or more of these tools to help parents in their role of discipling their kids. You will even find helps for connecting with parents through social media. Investing in kids for one to two hours each week is a noble cause, but investing in kids and their parents can impact the daily lives of the kids you serve.
