As most of you are aware, this coming Sunday is Easter Sunday, a date intentionally set aside to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, from the dead. Regarding the resurrection, the apostle Paul wrote: “If Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is without foundation, and so is your faith. In addition, we are found to be false witnesses about God…If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:14-17). Paul was serious that the Christian faith rises or falls on the truth of the resurrection of Christ. And he was completely confident that Jesus was raised from the dead, “the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (15:20). We celebrate the triumph of Jesus over the grave, knowing that in Him, we too will share in His resurrection.
For the Adults and Students using The Gospel Project Chronological, we want to make sure you are aware of the Easter Session available in our Spring Leader and Personal Study Guides. This session is Session 13, the last one in the guides.
In order to preserve the narrative flow of our study through Scripture (and since some users of The Gospel Project are on a different schedule), we have placed the Special Session for Easter at the end of both the Leader Guide and the Personal Study Guide. Remind your group leaders and groups to study Session 13 in preparation for this coming Easter Sunday.
If you access your Gospel Project sessions through our online digital resources, please remember to skip ahead to Session 13: Jesus Triumphs. As a user, you can simply progress through the sessions by clicking the down arrow on the left-hand column listing the sessions until you reach the last one for this quarter.
Administrators, you can use the curriculum tab to access Session 13 and then distribute the session resources by email if you so choose.
Alternately, administrators of the digital resources can change the start date for the quarter in order to have the Easter session readily available for this coming Sunday, March 27. Under the “Groups/Classes” tab, choose edit for your groups using The Gospel Project and set the start date for January 3. This will make the Easter session show as this week’s session for all users of the MyCurriculum Manager system. But if you do this, please remember to change the start date back to the original date after this Sunday so the next week’s session is back on track.
