The Gospel Project for kids is a Bible study resource that shows how Jesus is central to the Bible story, from pre-creation to eternity. In fact, Jesus isn’t just part of the story – He is the point of the Bible story. Helping kids read and understand the Bible from a Christ-centered perspective is essential! This is why we are excited about “The Big Picture Interactive” line of Bibles and Bible Storybooks. “The Big Picture Interactive” line of products feature the same Christ-centered stories that kids are learning at church using The Gospel Project for Kids.
Along with the books, there is also a free app that, when downloaded and used in tandem with the books, brings the stories alive with images that jump off of each page and narration by Jenna Lucado that summarizes each story. Keeping in mind that each child understands content differently depending on their age, there is a range of products that meet the needs of separate age groups! There really is something for everyone when it comes to the Big Picture Interactive!
For kids ages 8-12, we have The Big Picture Interactive Bible. It’s a full-text HCSB Bible, featuring colorful, fully designed pages and several special features – such as “Christ Connections,” introductions for each book of the Bible, 100 verses to remember, a big-words dictionary, big questions and big answers, four-color photos and maps, and more! And yes, the app works with the Bible! Our desire is that your child will come home from church longing to learn more about what they heard at church – and this Bible is engaging enough to help them to do just that!
For kids ages 6-10, we developed The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook. This innovative, interactive Bible Storybook gives kids the big picture of God’s story. It includes 145 Bible stories with four-color illustrations, a “Christ Connection” feature showing kids how God’s plan for salvation through Jesus appears throughout the Bible – and again, works with the app to bring the art and stories remarkably to life both visually and audibly! While this isn’t a full-text Bible, the Scripture references to each story are clearly labeled, so if a child wants to learn more than what is in the Bible Storybook, his parent can easily reference the stories in their Bible. In fact, we have had lots of feedback that this makes a great family devotion book!
For kids ages 4-8, we just recently published The Big Picture Interactive Bible Stories in 5 Minutes. Parents, this is exactly what it sounds like! Comprised of 12 different 5-minute stories and featuring four-color illustrations throughout, this book is perfect for before bed reading. The book also works with the app – so this book is also great for those young children who are just learning to read! Just grab your Apple or Android device and the book and let your kids be enamored by the Bible stories coming to life with pop-up art and narration.
And, at last, we have books for toddlers! The Big Picture Interactive Bible Stories for Toddlers is actually comprised of two volumes! The first is comprised of stories from the Old Testament. The second is comprised of stories from the New Testament. These books were designed to introduce early learners to the Bible, breaking down Bible stories into bite-sized, easily digestible pieces! These books can also be used in conjunction with the B&H Kids app – so toddlers can also enjoy the pop-up imaging and read-a-long narration from Jenna Lucado.
As your church digs deeper into The Gospel Project for Kids, we pray that each of these products helps you have meaningful and intentional conversations at home. All of these books are now available wherever books are sold. Happy Reading!
